Feb. 11. Elevation 1/2 ft. above normal and
clear. Crappie fair. They can be found very close to brush piles in 12 - 16
ft. of water. If you are not getting hung up in the brush you are probably not
catching fish. Minnows and jigs are excellent bait. Purple is the #1 jig color
right now. Striper fair below dam. Stripers are being caught below dam during
generation, especially in the evening. White feather jig and cork or 3 inch
pearl sassy shad and cork are excellent baits. Catfish fair in the lake. A few
blue cats are being caught in coves using cut bait. Report submitted by Larry

Dec. 17. Elevation 1/2 ft. below normal,
water 43 and upper end of lake is clear, stained in the dam area. Crappie fair
in lake, purple jigs and minnows are producing fish about 15-20 ft. other good
jig colors are gray and black. Catfish slow, but have seen some fish caught
this week on trotline using cut bait. White bass fair below dam, using tube
jigs and minnows. Stripers fair below dam, some fish in 5 to 12 lb. range on

April 27.
Elevation 2 1/2 ft. below normal, water 60-65 and clear. Crappie fair along
banks, with live bait or jigs, and at 5-15 ft. in creeks, at docks, and around
structure. Hybrids fair on points at mouths of creeks. Catfish fair, in
creeks, at 10-25 ft. on liver, cut shad, etc. Quapaw Park still closed for

Elevation 6 ft. below normal, water 47 and clear. Crappie fair, 15-20 ft, at
night, in docks, brush piles and under bridges with live bait or jigs. Crappie
and hybrid Striped bass, 25-50 ft. over deep water, in schools, if you can
find them. Other fishing generally poor. Quapaw Park closed for repairs.

Nov. 26.
Elevation 5½ ft. below normal, water 58 and clear. Gates are closed. Crappie
fishing is still fair, using jigs or live bait in 20 -25 ft. of water, around
bridge piers, brush piles, and other structures. Hybrid striped bass fair
using live bait or trolling across points and in the creek channels where shad
are working. Catfish fair, in upper end, in timber, using large minnows,
liver, etc. White bass fishing is fair, using small jigs in creek channels.
